Day at the Beach

Lets leave town early morning, and spend a few hours paddling and at the beach at Masonboro Island, then in the afternoon we can visit the the Wooden Boat Show.
Plan to arrive at Trails End boat ramp (lots of parking available) about 9:30 for a 10:00 am launch. Just google or mapquest 609 Trails End Road. We'll paddle about 2 miles through the salt marsh and bays over to Masonboro.
It's a very short walk over to the beach where we can spend a couple hours of sun, fun, lunch, swimming, and walks on the beach. We'll plan to return from the Island about 1:30 or 2:00pm, return to the cars and head over to the Boat Show which runs till 4:30.
We can cap the day off with an early evening seafood dinner before returning back home. This is a great trip for all skill levels, and any type of canoe or kayak, as it’s a fairly short paddle over to the Island.

" I had a great time, a little sore today but it was worth it"

"The day at the beach was great! We had a great paddle despite battling some tough winds on the return trip, but it all worked out fine. Thank goodness for the meal afterwards."
